Cards
New York City, with its vibrant spirit and ceaseless energy, often serves as a backdrop to some of life's most profound moments. Amid this bustling landscape, many New Yorkers, and indeed people globally, find solace in the anchor of faith. Whether faced with challenges or basking in moments of joy, our spiritual bond offers solace and connection. This duality of life's highs and lows is elegantly captured in funeral prayer cards. At Keepsake Memories LLC, we specialize in encapsulating these raw emotions, providing a touchstone of memories and faith to NYC residents.
What Are Funeral Prayer Cards?
For those unfamiliar, funeral prayer cards serve as a bridge between memory, faith, and solace. They are small, often pocket-sized cards designed as a keepsake to remember a loved one. One side typically displays a cherished photograph, a religious icon, or a peaceful scene, while the other bears a heartfelt poem, scripture, or prayer. In essence, they're more than just cards; they're a portable source of comfort. They can be shared among family and friends, offering a piece of tangible memory to hold onto, especially in moments when words might fail. For many, a quick glance at a prayer card can rekindle memories, spark reflection, or provide a brief respite in a challenging day, making them a cherished part of memorial traditions.

1. Never Forget
Never forget that the Lord is with you
Keep believing that you can pull through
Trust in yourself that you can do whatever
even if you feel like fainting wherever.
All it takes is one push
And you’ll get there in rush
whatever waves that come your way
You’ll make it an other way.
Tell anyone close to you,
“hey, you can do it too!”
2. Prayer Poem
Teach me, Lord,
What I don’t know.
Show me which way
And where to go.
Alone I stumble,
Alone I fall,
But your gentle voice
Leads through it all.
Take my hand,
Light my way,
Be my beacon
Night and day.
I am weak
And sometimes so low,
But you give me strength
And make me whole.
Teach me, Lord and Father.
Your child has become like new
Empty me of myself
So I can live for you.
3. Afterglow
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when the day is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun, of happy memories that I leave behind when the day is done.
4. Battle Hymn Republic
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.
5. Do Not Stand
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
6. God Saw
God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you
and whispered “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating,
Your hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
7. Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will
be done, on earth as it is in
heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread. And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us. And
lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen
8. Your Gentle Face
Your gentle face and patient smile, with sadness we recall. You had a kindly word for each, and died beloved by all. The voice is mute and stilled the heart, that loved us well and true. Ah, bitter was the trial to part from one so good as you. You are not forgotten loved one, nor will you ever be. As long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, as time goes by we miss you more, your loving smile, your gentle face, no one can take your vacant place.
9. Life Is But A Stopping Place
Life is but a stopping place,
a pause in what’s to be,
a resting place along the
road to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
different paths along the way,
we all were meant to learn some
things, but never meant to stay.
Our destination is a place
far greater than we know,
for some, the journey’s quicker,
for some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
we’ll claim a great reward,
and find an everlasting peace,
together with the Lord.
10. In Memoriam
Our lives go on without you
But nothing is the same
We have to hide our heartache
When someone speaks your name
Sad are the hearts that love you
Silent are the tears that fall
Living without you
Is the hardest part of all
You did so many things for us
Your heart was so kind and true
And when we needed someone
We could always count on you
The special years will not return
When we are all together
But with the love in our hearts
You walk with us forever
